Don’t stare at someone if you’re not going to say hi. It’s uncomfortable.

2. Where’s the fire? Wait your turn to get on the train. Cutting people is not nice.

3. If an elderly man or woman gets on the train, or a child, offer up your seat. Haven’t you been sitting at a desk all day anyway?

4. Headphones, please.

5. Try not to be too loud on a rush-hour train; most people use that time to sleep. Zzzzzzzz…

6. Be friendly to your conductor.. They’re good people.

7. If you’re not a regular commuter, buy your ticket(s) before you get on the train, especially if it’s between 4-6pm. It’s cheaper and more efficient.

8. If you’re bringing a baby carriage on the train don’t attempt the stairs. That will probably end very, very badly for your child.

9. My lap is not a suitable spot to store your belongings. There are racks above the seats for a reason.

10. Don’t squeeze into a 3-seater already occupied by 2 people if you’re bigger than the average person. The space is made for 3, yes, but if you’re big you don’t count as 1… I’m not trying to be rude; it’s just not fun for anyone to be smashed up against a window for an hour, or stuck in the middle unable to move, much like I was this morning.. Ray & I had a giant sit with us!
